Can therapists like this hear themselves? The self-assumed preciousness is embarrassing. I wonder if he has considered what your boundaries might look like - for example, not being willing to work with a therapist who is secretive about their professional background. On the plus side, I would consider this a positive reinforcement of your gut instinct.

Thanks comrademoomoo, that’s actually a really good way to look at it. I have huge issues with trusting gut instinct as I always think it must be me who is wrong. What you said has made me see that actually I probably should trust myself more....I wouldn’t have seen that without your comment, so thank you.
