By the way, that "platitude" was a hard won life lesson. I worked it out for myself. I'm sorry you didn't find it useful.

Are these the British equivalent to FunYuns?

I agree it's not pathetic. I've expressed my concerns for health and safety before as well.

That's some BS right there. My ex used to embarrass me in front of people all the time, so I feel for you.

We watched it and enjoyed it but it's super gory and disturbing and I did have some nightmares so viewer discretion definitely advised!

Fixed it for ya.

So the guy who eats ice cream out of the tub and got told this weekend he needed to exercise more gets to judge other peoples’ weight? Not when I rule the world.

Hawaii would probably take one look at him and send him home.

I haven’t slept well the last couple nights due to disability accommodations drama, so my head was fuzzy and dizzy all day. I have to prepare for tomorrow’s class tonight since we’re going to the vet in the morning, which is my normal prep time.

I really want to have an open coffee shop nearby so I can go work there, but nothing. Maybe an occasional fast food place or restaurant is open for dine-in, but eh.

My person always worked in the coffee house up the street from us. I don't know how you do it - too much activity and I get distracted

I turn on the mute function on my hearing aids.

There are some advantages.

I thought about throwing something similar right back at him as I was walking away, I really did. I just don't have it in me.

See, for me, if there's a bunch of noise in the background, I can focus. Maybe due to having worked in open newsrooms in the past? I have much more difficulty concentrating if there's just one or two noises, like my H rolling around in his chair upstairs (hardwood floors) or being on a conference call, my D being loud. Or in a past job where my coworker would leave his office door open and do calls on speakerphone.

So basically, a bunch of stuff going on, I can block out. But I also had issues recently when I went to do some work at a restaurant's outdoor space, and there was just one other table occupied, and they were being rather loud and talkative. If there were a few other tables, I could have tuned it out.

I’ve been setting up the Switch Lite. I haven’t bought or played anything yet. But in looking around the game store, I find a lot of games that involve being dead (not zombie dead, either) or dream interpretation.

I can’t figure out if there are a lot of such games or it’s just the ones catching my eye.
