Is that a thing? That's a great idea for Penny anyway. The other 2 I'm not worried about. Rascal has never tried to leave, and Stormy has on occasion but he doesn't go far and knows his way home.

I totally believe this could be true, about the test. She doesn't trust anybody. No holes in the walls that we have ever seen. One place I didn't actually think to look and I just looked up there right now, is on top of the refrigerator behind h's lunchbox. I suppose it's possible she could have been in the shadows back there, it's a low space under the cabinet, but she could have mushed into it. I don't know why I didn't look there when i looked every other possible place!

Banner morning - I found person's stash of antibiotics (don't bother telling me this is a bad plan - I know the position of the medical establishment that is designed to keep sick people subservient and as supplicants). - haven't heard a word from either the urgent care or the md I talked to and I am done with them.

Just that if they smell like vinegar, they may have gone bad. If they are like solid white tabs.

Have you done a dr on demand, on the phone? They are REALLY awful. One gave me an antibiotic that is almost sure to give me c difficile. But at least it is over and done with pretty quickly.
Thanks for this!

I couldn't figure out why Amelia wasn't eating too well. My Dad solved the problem. He had mixed in some food I had tried on her a while back that she had snubbed her nose at (even though it was an expensive food, I swear all my cats like is garbage food) with her regular food and she was not having it. So he had to go back through the container and dig out the ones that he had mixed in so she would eat.

I've seen them advertised for kids but they are a thing for pets too.

I am ready for my three day weekend off of work (Sat. Sun. and Mon.)

The girl that has been out of work due to Covid is coming back on Monday. She has a negative test result and she has been out the 14 days. The General Manager says she sounds like crap but if she wants to come back and kill herself that is up to her, as long as she is negative. She has pneumonia too. I hope that isn't catching.

Aaaaaaaaugh. I've been teaching my roommate to drive, and we were driving and she got rear ended. Now I have to deal with the insurance company and all this crap. She's going to pay, obviously, since she was the one driving, but it's still stupid and annoying.

I should never have agreed to teach her to drive when she asked. I was trying to be nice, but clearly I should not have been and should have looked after my own interests.

Shouldn’t the insurance of whoever rear-ended her pay? Isn’t that their fault?

Tell her to hire a driving school. Niceness is often overrated.

Yes the other party's insurance will pay but there are always random expenses like having to rent a car while mine's in the shop. Plus the time and annoyance factor.

Yeah I'm not really sure what I'm going to do going forward. I don't really want her driving my car anymore.

Thats a really big thing to ask of you. Like huge. If driving school is expensive, theres a good reason. What is she kills someone while youre out together? Sorry - my dad was always great at worst case scenarios, but this really is not trivial. Not in the US.

That's a good point. Plus, when I was in driving school...years ago, the driving-school cars had a brake pedal on the passenger side that the instructor could press if needed--are they still like that, I wonder?

I just advised someone that doing X would result in discomfort. I said "very very uncomfortable" - they went ahead and somehow are now cross with me because when they did it - they suffered minor but uncomfortable and long lasting effects - they didn't think I put the peril clearly enough. Good lord - if two very's don't alert you to level of seriousness I am trying to convey - there is simply no way forward.

I was always taught that you are responsible for the front of your car so if you hit someone it is your fault even if the person in front of you slammed on the brakes. Are you in the US? I would think it would be the other drivers fault.

In CA, if you get rear-ended, it's the back cars fault. Even if the front car slammed on their brakes, it's the back car's fault because they should have left enough room for emergency stops.

My mom loves to slam on her breaks and has gotten in a ton of accidents. It's never been deemed her fault.

So the deal is that she already has her license but is just a crappy driver, hence the need for lessons. She's on my insurance and stuff so it's all on the up-and-up.
