Couch poll - if you go to an md and they tell you that there is nothing wrong (this has not happened to me) = are you relieved that you are okay or pissed that you bothered to check?

It doesn’t really apply because I only mention stuff to a doctor if I’m really sure something is wrong. So I’ve always been right that something is wrong.

Pissed that I bothered. I've had a love hate relationship with doctors for years. It's either "let's do thousands of dollars worth of testing and multiple specialists" or "take 800mg ibuprofen around the clock for 30 days, then come back to follow up."

No. You cant fake mullions, they are architectural and separate window sets.

I would be pissed and not relieved. I don't really go all overboard getting worked up about diseases that I might have. But when you look at the lists of why they THINK people won't deal with them and why, for example, I don't - it is not because of their pathetic guesses

I suppose when I got the celiac diagnosis I felt fine, it was my annual bloodwork that flagged a possible issue.

I wouldn't be pissed- think it's better to be safe. The last doctor I saw was around 6 years ago though and I needed antibiotics.

Depends on whether I feel they are correct. Once went to a doctor who said there's nothing wrong while there clearly was something going on. Then I'd be pissed, but because of the incompetency. If they do their work properly and it turns out to be nothing, I think I'd be relieved.

Today has claws. I don't know why I am trying to work when I am struggling to put a sentence together. I have nothing meaningful to do, so I could just take today off. There are people who don't believe in trauma anniversaries, but mine won't let go of me.

Oog, last night was Vivid Dream Central. But I did save a Soviet dissident in one...only 30 years too late, I guess.

I don't generally go to the doctor unless I'm pretty certain something is wrong, so it doesn't usually happen that way. Now, sometimes I go in unsure if what I am experiencing is "normal" for my age or other health issues (like, I have some nagging issues from lack of a gallbladder - they are bothersome but "typical"). I'm not at all bothered if they reassure me that I what I am experiencing is just my lot (sometimes that's just the case).

I just looked up this: Mullion vs muntin: A mullion is a heavy vertical or horizontal member between adjoining window units. Muntins are the narrow strips of wood that divide the individual panes of glass in a traditional sash.
Fake muntins for the win! Because these were very thin strips of wood put together like a many-sectioned tic tac toe game first, and then attached to a big pane of glass. I have learned 2 new words today. Thank you @@ and una! |

I knew those people were wrong when they listed why they thought people would refuse medical care.
I am stuck on Manana by Peggy Lee. There is a little clip with dean martin and the andrews sisters (I love the andrews sisters music) where they include it in their medley and now it is stuck in my head. I had not known until recently how the younger two didn't speak or get along even though I have listened to their music since I was tiny. My grandmother was also a fan. __________________ Please NO @ Selfishness is not living as one wishes to live, it is asking others to live as one wishes to live. This pretty much describes my feelings about it. I would be pissed if they just tried to attribute something to my anxiety without running actual tests. I tend to choose doctors (including pdocs) who will really listen to me and explore what's going on. |
