I hope all is well with her. I was concerned when my nearly 90 yr old parent went to lunch with a grandchild home from college and as far as we know, he didn't have anything.

Ok i was enjoying The Good Place until i got to series 3 and the Australian accents are very Ockerised and i dont know if this intentional satire or what. Ockerised i mean they speak like Steve Irwin and Crocodile Dundee still i think the story is great so far. At the end of series 1 instarted series 2 wondering if it got worse but here i am at series 3. Except for the actaul Australian actor we all speak in that uppy downy way. Its got a name but i forget what it is.

I dont think i ever watched it. Still, i would not recommend it to you. Or anyone. I think its probably stupid. But then i saw Rambo (like 40 years after it first came out) and i kinda liked that, so i could be wrong.

I think i already said i dont like The Good Place. It has very charming characters, but the main ones are still tall blond and white grr. So wtf. And everything is always exploding.

I am looking forward to The (new) Equalizer. Always like queen latifah. Chris noth. And another guy i forget his name.

What on earth are you talking about? Kristen Bell is short, white, and blond. Chidi is from Africa. Tahini is tall but of Indian origin. Jason is Hispanic/Chinese.

And Ted Danson is a demon with white hair. So that’s one blond, two whites, two tall people, one shrimp, three brunets, and three non-whites.

I am on season 2 and watch with the captions on, so bad Crocodile Dundee accents won’t bother me.

ETA: I see Daff anticipated me.

We all have our areas of concern - I would say I am doing a public service rather than rant but potato pahtahto. I have no idea what an a-line bob is

Lol! Crikey is such a old country saying and i used to be a registered reptile catcher so i have tailed some snakes, and jumped on goannas. When i want to lampoon other older Aussies esp men i say bloodybonzabewdymate! People still say g'day i say hooroo when saying goodbye but i am the only one i know who does.

My cat is so sneaky. He stole some dog jerky treat by knocking the container on the floor and when i came out he had taken it to his food bowl so it looked and sounded like he was eating dry food. The dead giveaway was how he ate faster the closer i got to him.

Okay but kristen bell and ted danson are the only two names you know. Its the show with the old white guy and the woman young enough to be the granddaughter. Its the last gasp before the old guy starts making buddy movies with guys his own age, like pacino and deniro. Before that, it was pacino and pretty young things.

I signed up for discovery. I just watched a little everest doc, also a nxivm doc. Roger stone was in the nxivm one, which was weird.

Kristen bell often has an a line bob.

Daff, does your cat stand up? That freaks me out, when they stand like people. They look like they are thinking. Or when dogs sit like humans.

I have been watching a falcon nest cam from a university in Orange (stuart something is the univ) and never once has the researcher said crikey- which was a tad disappointing.

The royal albatross cam from New Zealand is also sort of fun but the falcon one is more action. The albatross just sort of sit there and clack

RIP Hal Holbrook. My first lover and I traveled to DC to see him do his one man Twain show in the early 80s. I went reluctantly (not a huge twain fan) but it was fantastic

Right after i wrote this, i went to facebook and my cousin had posted a picture of their dog sitting like a human on the couch. The revolution is coming!

I read that first as a compound sentence, not as a compound subject. Way to kickstart the day. Better than bulletproof coffee.

Stormy (big black cat) doesn't like it when I sing haha. I was just singing that theme song from the show Weeds "Little boxes on the hillside, little boxes made of ticky tacky" haha and he got up, huffed, and walked out of the room. Everyone's a critic....

When I was little, I loved to help my grandmother cook and my favorite thing she made for me was chicken and dumplngs (the right kind of dumplings - not biscuits or giant gobs of dough - but flat delicious homemade noodle kind). One day when she was showing me how to cut up/debone chickens, she started the description with "think of it as a little baby and stick the knife in..."
I thought of that today when trying to describe something to an md today. This was my highly religious, women are submissive to men grandmother (my other grandmother was a screw that sort - they were opposites). It still makes me smile to think of her giving that sort of analogy
