I did very well on the forgiving myself letter and read it to my therapist. I found it really helped me regarding my Grandpa and why I was so stuck in the process of missing him. I finally am feeling less guilt over his death and accepting I had no responsibility over his death.
We talked allot about me not feeling very safe at home and how much I hide with a smile to keep myself safe. I have been dealing with a person at day program for a year now and finally talking about it with my therapist. It's very nice of her to not take any sides or try to dismiss me like my ex-t would. She is asking me to write a letter and share my feelings and stress, so that I can get it out. I have a problem with people pleasing and letting people have control over me. This letter will only be shared in my session. Going every 2 weeks is really helping and there is lots for me to talk about. She wants to talk about the container exercise with me that was discussed a month ago and it seems like my sessions are dealing with day program person or my Grandpa. Hopefully next session i wont have allot to talk about other then my homework. Therapy is hard work and slow. However it's helping me to cope with life better and it helps to talk to someone. |

Thank you for asking. Normally the clinic does not do weekly unless it's crises. The case load that every therapist has there is at the max plus i think they have to leave spaces for crises counseling. I know my therapist told me when we get to the EMDR she can book me in weekly. I am very lucky to go every 2 weeks as the norm is 1 every month. |
