I just got home from seeing my therapist face to face first time in almost 4 months. She was off of work due to having covid19 and is slowly working towards getting back full time.

The session was ok I seem to be dissociating abit more then normal and I lost another friend last week due to cancer. Everything seems so confusing with everything else.

I am back to seeing her every two weeks like before and she is so understanding and helpful. I also will be getting some grief counseling besides seeing her. I have had allot of good friends pass away this year.

Grief and trauma I just don't even know where to begin. I really hope grief counseling can help me resolve the sadness and guilt I feel, also help me become less confused with all the trauma. I still have not dealt with my Grandpas death 8 years ago and all my friends who passed away knew my Grandpa. I hope it's not too much seeing my therapist and the grief counsellor at once.

Hugs if wanted, Cheryl. I'm sorry you've dealt with so much loss recently. I hope the grief counseling will help. And it makes sense that it will take time to feel comfortable with your T again. I mean, it can sometimes take me a session or so to feel comfortable when my T has only been gone a week.

I'm sorry for your losses. If you find it too much you can always change your schedule. With the dissociation occurring more frequently, maybe learning grounding techniques would help first.
