There will be a dog pic if I ever get home today. (Loam dog was keeping the building manager company today since it's my long day on campus.)

My day started by participating in my school's newest COVID study, meant to judge the prevalence of antibodies in the school population. First there had to be the saliva COVID test, then the blood draw. I did tell the tech (obviously a grad student) that my left arm is better than my right for the blood draw (more visible veins) but she just ignored me and tried to do the right one. She eventually had to change arms, meaning I walked around for a bit with a pressure bandage on each elbow instead of just one. She will no doubt have a glorious career in phlebotomy.

H just called, after the local jobs he did already today they just gave him one going up to Prescott, about an 8 hour drive total (there and back). They've certainly kept him busy since he went back to working full-time. I now have the evening to myself, which I will probably spend all of watching the rest of Lucifer season 6. I think I have 5 episodes left? Not sure. Bummer that it's the last season. But, I did read something of a rumor that there may be a movie? Time will tell.

Does anyone know what on earth kind of insect/bug/caterpillar thing this is?? It's like 4 inches long. I came across it on the trail as I was out walking a little bit ago (and left it there!) Did a google image search and I'm not finding anything like it.

It both feels like it's gone by fast and that I can't remember when I was seeing ex-T. I think the fact that the past 18 months in the pandemic have felt like 5 years contributes to that...

I would say it is a caterpillar. Do you all have any large moths or butterflies?

As Abed said on Community, “Six seasons and a movie!” Though there has been no movie yet.

Okay, dog picture wanters, here. Loam dog refuses to pose. In addition to doors he also does not like cameras.

Anyone know the breed? Once we get past corgis, poodles, collies, dachsunds, chihuahuas, and generic terriers, I’m lost.

There's a subreddit for identifying bugs.

Cute dog! Taking a wild guess here based on the dog we briefly adopted, but maybe part German Shepherd? Mixed with something smaller.

Trying to decide if I want to go through the whole process to renew my restraining order this year or just let it lapse. I've got until the beginning of October to get it done. I'm weighing the hassle of the whole thing vs my emotional well-being. I don't think I fear him physically at this point, but it sure wouldn't be good for me to have contact with him. He might want nothing to do with me at this point. I don't know.

I agree, GSD plus something small. That short hair looks like chihuahua.

I once saw a site of i think corgis crossed with other pups. There was unmistakeable corginess about them. It was a great site!

I think I posted that in honor of Lone Dog.

I think a cheek swab would strain my relationship with Loam Dog just now.

Ordered DoorDash because our program gave us some money so that we could have dinner together via Zoom. Dasher delivered it to the wrong building and took a picture of it on a shelf in said wrong building. By the time I got there (~5min after the picture was sent to me), it wasn't there anymore. DoorDash is refunding me but, like, seriously?!? Unclear if Dasher took it or if the people in the wrong building did but just ffs.

He asked you to cut back sessions due to finances.
You've been trying to get rental assistance due to finances.

Agreed. It's not fair if he's asking you to cut back on something that affects your health and he can then just go out and buy a shiny new toy. I'm just assuming, with how you've said he is with cars, that he got a top-of-the-line one?

(The only exception would be if his broke, and he needed it for work, but then his work would supply one presumably.)
