I hope it goes well, Kit. If he/she tries to change things and you aren't comfortable with it, you can always decline. I've done that with my p-doc before. I'd just see what they say though.

I'm not good at being assertive but we'll see how this goes. My case manager R says that it usually just takes 15 to 20 minutes so I don't think he/she is going to do an assessment or anything. I think it's more of a make sure you have a pdoc type thing.

And the shame we feel in childhood is often someone else's shame which is unloaded onto us and we carry the weight of it into adulthood.

I dont quite remember the connection, but i think it had to do with lack of connection - ie because shaming is so isolating, so it displaces connection and subsequently empathy. I am surprised shame has affected me so much. But i only ever tried to reject it, to push it away - not really deal with it. Now the chickens have come home to roost.
Previously, I have found it very hard to identify the feeling of shame because it has been ubiquitous for me. Now I can identify it, it feels like my only feeling.

I tried looking up the Pdoc on Google. But no luck. I'll just have to wait another 20 minutes or so to find out more about him/her.

Your question is shorter than kits answer, but yeah! I recently (well, before covid) didnt recognize an apartment neighbor young woman who i looooove when i saw her at the grocery store. But this happened all my adult life. Most often with women i like / admire and work adjacent to, but then see "out of context".

They should make a commercial: "Applecrisp - its whats for dinner." I used to make it for my mom when i lived with her. It was pretty horrible - my low fat no sugar cooking! But i do love when other people make it.

Why are the Americans amongst us saying "applecrisp"? Is that what you (mistakenly, of course) call apple crumble?

The IOP Pdoc was perfectly nice. He is just a nurse practitioner so I don't trust him as much as I trust my Pdoc who is a neuropsychiatrist. But he did say we have some wiggle room with the Latuda if we need to go up on the dose. At least he was on time and the appointment didn't take too long (since I'm at work!).

Got home early from work! Not sure what to do with myself, though. The problem with having down time is that it results in me missing my BF more intensely.

I like fruit and consume a lot of it but I don't like most fruit cooked. Every so often a blueberry muffin perhaps and if apples are going soft or mealy I can put them in my oatmeal -but I prefer the plain fruit to most dessert fruit applications. I would only dessert my fruit in non-ordinary situations.

That sounds like a fruit crime

I've heard it both ways, both apple crisp and apple crumble. IDK which is correct. maybe they are slightly different. The picture comrade showed looked crumbly. Most apple crisps that I have had haven't had the struessel looking topping on them.

I didn't get to really cry today. I think I'm going to explode at some point. I'm so sad and depressed. I miss L already. I'm so glad she loved the blanket. She bought me a candle for our first lighting. I just want to curl up in a corner and fade away.

I've never heard of a crisp, only crumble, apple or otherwise.

I personally wouldn't go for an apple pie or crumble because I don't like soft apples, cooked or uncooked. I would definitely take blueberry or cherry though. There's a brand of dairy from near here, Tillamook, that makes the best Marionberry Pie ice cream with little bits of pie crust in it. It's way too easy to eat so I can't buy it too often.

I'm guessing they don't like patients turning up stoned and not knowing for sure what they are on.

Only difference is apple crisp topping includes stuff like oats or nuts (so it’s crispier). They can both have streusel topping.

That's what my H said.

I asked in this local mom's group, and someone (who said she used to be a radiology tech) said you can't legally consent to anything while on valium. That seems really weird to me, as some people take prescribed benzos daily (my aunt did for years via prescription). Does that mean they can never consent to anything legally?

Yes, when my mom made apple crisp, it involved oats. And was great heated with vanilla ice cream on it! I've also had it in restaurants with walnuts, too.

Well, now I want apple crisp...

Home from the ENT. No infection, and I won't go into the gross details about my visit. The pressure is gone, I can hear again, and that makes me very happy!! (And that was definitely a new experience for me.)
