My T told me this week she is now retiring for good due to her increasingly serious health issues.
I was lucky to have had 3 more months with her that I didn't expect to have, after she took a break before. This time it is final though. Her health has deteriorated and I sensed she wasn't herself the last couple of times we spoke. I wish I could have gone through everything with her, we'd just got into the trauma work and now I have to start over finding someone else.
She will be a hard act to follow. I will miss her so much.

I'm so sorry to hear you are losing your therapist... Especially just as you 'start' on the trauma work. I can totally relate as going through exactly the same thing after my T left nearly three months ago. It's really hard, but I'm hoping it is going to be worth it, finding someone new and working through the trauma. I hope you can find the right person to continue your journey with too, if that is what you choose to do, but you they'll never be the same, will they. Take care East, it's a crazy world of emotions out there.
