My daughter is refusing to tell me what is in the pets presents under the tree, insisting they are from Santa Paws and she doesnt know. I am really curious now. Also my son is taking his dog back after the New Year so it will just be the older dog and the cats again. At least i will gain some bench space back in the kitchen as the cats can eat on the floor again.

Look up The Haydenettes. There is even a thesis documentary on youtube about them - and they are very serious about it. I love precision stuff like this - the silent marine drill teams, the rockettes, marching bands, DCI, and so on.

Had a dream last night that I was at Dr. T's house with my parents at first (then later, I was there for a party). The house was ridiculously huge. And it was being remodeled, so certain parts were cut off. I had to use the bathroom and was trying to figure out how to get to the upstairs bathroom. I had to do some crazy maneuver involving going hand over hand down a curtain rod, then swinging my legs up to get to the next floor. Except then I was on the wrong side of the bathroom, and the toilet was across a big opening, so I still couldn't get to it.

I made my way back downstairs and asked my mom about the bathroom. She said, "Why can't you just wait until we go out and come back?" That she was sure Dr. T could show me then. I said, "But I have to go now!" Meanwhile, I knew she'd gone already and knew how to get there. She just wouldn't tell me. I have no idea where Dr. T was in the house.

I'm sure Freud would have a field day with that one--my parents, my therapist, and being unable to get to the bathroom...

Ugh, I'm sorry. Was it at a pharmacy or grocery store? I've heard some places around here are canceling because they're short-staffed. Hope you can find a new appointment soon.

I'm sorry, Una. That sucks. I hope it's not something like what happened with my flu jab. We were told that they'd run out, because people had been paying to have them early.

Lunchtime woo! I went earlier than usual today because I'm being forced to take web calls (helping people with our website) i haven't taken web calls in quite awhile and I'm very rusty. That last one took me 45 minutes but I finally got him logged in. Woohoo!

I think of them as worsted wool-fully.

Info, the double-booker, sends me an email to confirm our next appointment in January. Which was clearly meant to be reassuring, like this won't happen again, except she had the day wrong.

It really messed up my day. Not that im DOING anything, but ugh i got such a sinking sensation in my gut when i got the message. And the whole thing messed up my "free sleeping" schedule.

Good news is, today the news outlets ARE saying that pfizer and moderna are working towards omicron vaccines, so maybe those will be out by the time i reschedule. Things are happening so fast.

Una, sorry that your booster got cancelled. They should automatically reschedule you and not make you go through the process all over again, it does take awhile!! Hopefully once you get rescheduled it will go smoothly for you.

I went and got my flu shot after work today, I don't know why I waited so late into the year to get it done. Now I still have to schedule my shingles vaccine, can't believe i haven't done that one yet after having shingles in 2019. don't want THAT again.

Couch pop quiz, 1 question:

ATAT asked for a disability accommodation for next semester. How is it going?

A) It's gone right. Everything is in order.
B) It's gone wrong. Some completely stupid and unexpected obstacle presented itself.

Go to the head of the class.

Apparently, the university does not have the needed equipment on hand for faculty (just for students, and faculty can't use it). They breezily told me I'd have to provide my own.

This isn't standard equipment for personal use. This is rather expensive equipment that public venues typically have on hand.
