Hello,im not satisfied after a year and half of CBT,supportive and some months of schema therapy.
I have to say that i payed lot of money for therapy but i can't see so far improvements on my self.Difficult to cope with this disorder and long term therapy with pretty slow progress. |

That must be so disappointing and disheartening. I have been through therapies, expensive therapies that I didn't feel were very helpful and I felt pretty bad about it. Wish I knew what to say to help you!

I think it can take us a while to process the info we get in therapy and put it in to practice. I have to say I am pretty bad at noticing any positive changes in myself, not sure if others have this problem? Do you think it's an issue with that particular therapist?
The fact that you are still going and trying to work with your AVPD is a good sign in my opinion. |

I wonder if the issue is with that particular therapist.

I hear you. I tried a few different types of therapy and therapists before finding one where it really felt like a good fit and I could notice myself making progress. It was frustrating and time-consuming (several years) to get there, but worth it to keep trying in the end.
