I am having to switch therapists because I recently moved. My T was going to talk to new T yesterday or today. I am really anxious about new T not a wanting to work with me due to my history, so I texted T yesterday asking whether she talked to new T yet. She said she hadn’t but would probably talk to her today. She said she would let me know how the conversation went. I haven’t heard from her today so I’m not sure if she forgot to tell me or it didn’t go well and she wants to wait until Monday to talk to me about it (we meet over video on Monday). I’m really anxious but don’t want to bother her on a Friday night. Would it be excessive to text her again or should I just wait til Monday?

I'd wait, to be honest, but I'm not in the habit to contact my T outside of session anyway, so it might not be comparable.

Depends on what the agreement you have with your T is regarding their boundaries, contacting them outside 'business' hours or weekends etc.

Seeing it is close to Monday, might be better to wait then.
Thanks for this!

I agree that it depends on the agreement. My T, for example, is fine with email at any time, though he usually replies in the mornings (including over the weekend). He prefers to only use texts for scheduling or for something really urgent (like a crisis). But I know some T's are fine with texting and might rarely use email.

So if yours seems like they'd be fine with it, and you think you'll be anxious about it all weekend, I think it would be OK to send a brief text. Though maybe wait until this afternoon (well, depending on your time zone!) to see if she gets back to you on her own. And I wouldn't expect a quick reply (or be concerned if you don't get one), as she could be busy with things.

Also, it's entirely possibly that she didn't get a chance to talk to her on Friday, so that's why she hasn't said anything. I know when my T was trying to talk to an ex-T, it took a bit of time for them to coordinate their schedules to find time to talk. So it may very well be that she hasn't been able to connect with her yet.
