How long did it take you to get there? And what was your favourite type of therapy, if you don't mind me asking?

As long as you feel good about it, I am so happy for you! I remember your struggles with therapy over the years.

It took years. I have been struggling on and off for 22 years. Then about 5 years ago my worked was causing me so much stress I had to leave. I was going twice a week to therapy at that low point. I went to the hospital again and decided at that point I needed a new therapist because my ptsd was worse because I associated her with those problems. It took over a year to find another therapist. After being with her for 9 months I realized I didn’t have much to talk about. My anxiety around work was much less at my new job. Still had ptsd issues but I think telework has really helped with my anxiety. So right now things are good. A decade of hell is behind me. I try to get outside for breaks from work. Deep breathing really does work I never gave it a chance before. I am still on klonopin but just morning and night when my anxiety is worse. My pdoc and I have talked about lowering doses and meds but both agree not to rock the boat since this combo is working.
