I don't have the first idea how to rest, it seems.
I'm still feeling drained after yesterday, even though it wasn't a big deal.

It was fun watching people trying to decide whether to join in the outdoor yoga in the park this morning - the humidity and heat has broken here so a lot more people are out but it is also quite cloudy with rain predicted. groups would come over with their mats and spend a bit of time looking up at the sky. About half didn't risk it. So far no rain.

Surely if you're the kind of person who enjoys outdoor yoga then weather shouldn't make much of a difference? I mean, I'd draw the line at thunderstorms and torrential downpours....but practising in light rain wouldn't make much of a difference.

My parents are planning a trip next March where they go almost go right pass where my former Therapist now lives, I jokingly said that they should go visit her
 .

I have been helping some college freshmen move into their dorms this week - it is a very very good thing that I do not teach undergrads

I hope your classes went well, @@. How lovely that your mom was thinking of and celebrating you. You get to decide when (or whether) to open the gift, whether it's on this birthday or the next one...or another special day or a random day when you just know it's time.

Yes, mocking young people and their parents who are scared and unsure doesn't reflect well on elders. Where is our humility and compassion when we can't understand that some people are less sure-footed than we are? I am so tired of encountering other people's hard exteriors. Give us all a break. Everyone is vulnerable and has tender points, even those whose egos depend on presenting otherwise. Quite apart from anything else, it's incurious to only have capacity for those like us. It's a really limited approach to life.
