I was also worried about how it would affect D and H, but Dr. T wasn't empathetic about that either, like, "kids are usually fine." I also worried D had infected my parents because she was with them in close quarters just hours before she showed symptoms. Maybe you misunderstood about the vacation? It was the three of us going to the beach, and my parents would be down there, too, in a different condo. So it's a family vacation, not a me vacation. My concern about the vacation was for my daughter's sake, not mine--I didn't want her to miss out on it (the vacation is very stressful for me, so if I missed it, eh, oh well). They're down there now, I'm joining them tomorrow morning (Dr. T was also very critical of our vacation arrangement, but this is how it works for us. And D has been with my parents basically since they got down there, so H has had some time to rest and relax, too). It was also that Dr. T had said last week, "Well, as soon as you started going to concerts, i knew you'd get it sooner or later." Which felt judgmental (and I told him that). He said he figured he'd get it sooner or later because he sees some clients in person, too, plus D being at schools and camps. And it's not possible I got this at a concert, unless it had a 1-month incubation period (plus the last few I went to were outdoors, and I was fairly distanced). It felt hypocritical because he's done some traveling (including recently). And he kept saying, "Isn't this the best possible time for her to get sick?" Me; "No." Him: "What would be a better time?" Me: "A time that wouldn't threaten the vacation she looks forward to every year?" Like yeah, missing school isn't ideal, but that wouldn't affect her psychologically in the same way missing a vacation would (and my parents would have been upset, too). Anyway, I disagree with your assessment and just think you may have misunderstood a couple things, so clarifying! |

I requested and read my notes and paperwork from my recent hospitalization. I wanted them for continuity of care with my pdoc and T. But reading them made me super upset and depressed. Ugh.

Well, D tested negative once (and the day they left was like day 8 for her). H still tested positive (it was just day 5 for him), but he's been wearing a mask whenever around my parents indoors (and isn't going anywhere else indoors, except a brief masked pit stop during the drive). And D is wearing a mask if they go anywhere indoors (but she does that anyway). |

I mean they say there are more false negatives -so if you get a negative it may not be true

Hugs, Kit, I'm sorry. I've heard you aren't really supposed to read those on your own. Might be something good to discuss with your T? |

Yes, and more likely to get a positive if you have symptoms. I've tested negative each time I've tested since D got sick. I haven't had any sort of lasting symptoms (like sneezing a couple times when I step outside, but I have seasonal allergies, and grass pollen, one of my main ones, is high in my area right now). I'm still masking indoors to be safe, just in case. Don't know whether I will around my parents tomorrow or not, but probably safer to do so. I did have a sore throat for a couple days a couple weeks ago, tested negative consistently then as well (same tests that D and H got positives on--the Binax ones from Abbott). Though it does make me wonder if those could have been false negatives, and I was patient zero (as in, they got it from me). Perhaps ironically, the only public place I was that D and/or H weren't a few days before I had symptoms was Dr. T's office. |

Yes, I texted T the day I read them and told her I was upset. She didn't get those pages from the facility so this morning I sent them to her by email in an attachment. So I guess we can talk about them tomorrow. Basically all of the pdocs that I saw at the hospital made me upset when I read what they said about me. But you know, that was their perception. But they see you for all of 2 minutes. They rely on the nurses to tell them what's up. So IDK. Ugh.

Had a big argument with my Mom about using her money, I'm not sure how I am going to pay for things now.

Because of the email exchange this morning, I had originally canceled my session with Dr. T for tomorrow morning (before I leave for the beach). But a few hours ago, I asked if we could still meet. I was expecting him to say no (even if he still had the slot, like on principle), but surprisingly, he said yes, and we're meeting virtually at 9. Hopefully I'm not making a mistake.
I was afraid he'd think I was just testing him or something, but I'm not one to cancel and then ask for it back (it's maybe happened 2 or 3 times in nearly 5 years), so I think he opted to be understanding. I figured he'd still have the opening, as when he offered it before yesterday, he said he doesn't usually come in that early on Tuesdays, but that he'd make an exception for me to make it easier for me to go to the beach. (My plans changed.) |

Just catching up. I would not like either of those things dr. T said to you. About the "victim mentality," (like, what! aren't you a T and maybe shouldn't be victim blaming?), and the concerts quote. Also seems a bit mean.

Thanks, Velcro! And I appreciate the validation about his comments. He just seems...off lately. Like more critical and contrarian (even things like questioning why H and D went to the beach on Sunday instead of Saturday). I'm just hoping he's not reverting to his prepandemic self. That maybe this is just a bad month, or he generally has trouble feeling empathy for people with Covid (or with it in their households) for whatever reason. |

I got the Thinker: deep thoughts, big questions. Maybe sometimes. Other times not so much. I liked the video clips in between questions.

Had our last session before P's 10 day trip. I had my walls up. We're supposed to do 2 phone sessions while he's gone and he told me to reach out before I get to any bad places. I think this work trip is just emphasizing for me that he's still likely to leave at some point in the near future and I guess I'm having feelings about that still.
