This is a chatty thread. All are welcome. We're kind of psychologically oriented, sometimes. We try to be supportive. At times we discuss what that means.

It’s a place to plop down on the couch when you come home from work or wherever, or wake up in the middle of the night, or check in at lunch, rant a bit or not, and be among friends.

We advise you not to drink or drug and text your therapist ("T") - we speak from experience.

Sometimes the thread moves fast and you might get overlooked; sometimes it moves slowly and all you hear are crickets. Sometimes you get hugged or thanked pages later. So if it's a bigger question, you might want to start a new thread.

Grab a cushion, a spot on the floor, or an armchair in the corner and make yourselves comfy.

Looks like I might be taking a trip across country. The breeder wants me to pick up a puppy from out here and take it to her. I've never flown on my own before. I haven't even been on a plane in 25 years. I'm nervous!

Finally i am starting to feel better, knock on wood! I just organized my chairside table. I was in too much pain to even look at it the past few weeks.

So sorry you were in pain but it’s great news you feel better. It helps when things are organized too but it’s not an easy task when you hurting

H just left for a long-distance job to Nevada, someplace called Ft Mojave. It is conveniently not far from Laughlin, NV and he just happens to have a flier from one of the casinos there for 3 free nights this month, so he's going to stay there after the delivery and come home Sunday. Artie has the weekend to herself!!! Any Netflix binging recommendations?

I'd forgotten about that one! Yes, I've seen part of it but not all. Thanks for the reminder, I got sidetracked by something else at the time and meant to get back to it but never did. Now is the perfect time.

Well I just finished my first draft of the poem I started yesterday re: reflecting on the past almost-year post-therapy. I'm going to put it away now for a bit, and get it back out for re-working on 12/17 (the one-year anniversary of my leave-taking). We'll see what happens in a couple weeks or so, whether or not I send it to L.

Artie is also going to take herself out to breakfast tomorrow morning

Grief is the most ridiculous thing I have ever been through. It keeps twisting and turning and becoming something that I'm not entirely sure of.

My current project: small afghans (about 18 inches across) for cats, to donate somewhere.

I've been making hard-boiled eggs in my electric kettle. It works pretty well. But occasionally an egg will crack, the whites will sort of ooze out the crack while it's boiling, and the resulting product looks like some sort of Lovecraftian horror. It's obviously edible. It's a boiled egg. But I have to talk myself into eating it.

So someone heard about the incident with my colleague and how poorly my chair handled it and reported it to the office in charge of discrimination cases.

Really did not want this to happen. They contacted me and told me they wanted to talk to me. Not sure what to do.

On the one hand it could help because frankly I’m miserable at work over it and have started job hunting again, even though I don’t really want to leave. On the other it could make things so, so much worse.
