I guess a lot of therapists are still mostly virtual. Mine drove in late this afternoon to see me and rarely is actually in the office. My last therapist never seemed to have clients after me either. I am glad I can see her in person I just didn't know this was still a thing.

Mine will contact me the day before and if we need virtual we will do that.

L does virtual only if she's out of town, but isn't on vacation or if one of us is sick. Otherwise, we're mostly in-person.

Mine did only virtual for about 2 years (except for a few weeks last summer before delta hit, when he stopped again), but he's been in person since around March. I think maybe half of his clients are still virtual, but he usually goes to the office to see them because he said he focuses better there than home. There have been a few times we've had to do virtual, like when my family had Covid or right before he was going on vacation, so he wanted to avoid possibly catching it. I do like having the option there, as I'd prefer virtual to having to cancel entirely.
I will say that I was researching potential therapists recently, and many of them either only do virtual now or have a mix of virtual and in-person (like "now accepting both in-person and virtual clients"). I get the sense many are taking advantage of virtual either because then they don't have to rent an office or because it gives them more potential clients, like they could see anyone in the state, not just within reasonable driving distance. |

Mine is virtual only. Not sure if he will ever go back to in office. I know I prefer to WFH at my job so I can see the appeal for him as well especially since it saves him a ton on rent plus allows a tax right off for part of his house. In the beginning, I was a bit upset because it is much easier for me to do EMDR with the hand buzzers in his office but I have adjusted and actually prefer virtual now since I no longer have to travel to see him. I miss less work and therefore have to make up less time.

My therapist sees me in person but I get the sense that other patients are on telehealth. We switch to telehealth for inclement weather (like this week) or illness (like when my family member had covid).
I am also in school to be a therapist and we’ve been told that in our area, something like 70-90% of people’s caseloads are still on telehealth because so many people prefer it. |

However, both of my providers are also seeing people in person, if the patient wants to.

Last I knew, my therapist sees people in her office at the beginning of the week and then sees virtual clients at the end of the week. (I'm not sure which is two days per week and which is three.) I struggled with virtual with her, so I went back to in-person before I was even vaccinated, back when I did almost nothing else in person. She said a lot of people prefer virtual, which is why she keeps offering it. I think she likes the flexibility too because she goes back and forth between two cities, so she can work from wherever she wants to on those days.

He has never offered virtual, only phone sessions, which are shorter and less helpful. This is still an option, at least for me, but it already used to be before the pandemic. I already see all my other social contacts mostly online, I appreciate to have some real human contact...

My therapist now only goes into her office for in person clients one day a week. With my work schedule I can't normally see her in person. Once in a while we hope to make it work so we can to a F2F but not sure how often it will happen.

We are f2f unless I am sick. Different continent though.

Mine mainly sees people in person. Thankfully we saw each other through most of Covid in person but socially distanced. I really dislike virtual sessions. So much is lost.

I think mine does a mixture of f2f and virtual. I’ve been seeing him in person since Feb 2021, which I’m very thankful for. We did 11 months of virtual during the first waves of the pandemic.
