I talked to L on the phone and it helped some. She told me to let her worry about the logistics of everything that needs to get done before her leave. She told me to let H take care of HIS job problems. And for me to just focus on myself and work on processes all my emotions and staying safe.

Perhaps you could join a painting, walking or dancing group in your area..

You are making a lot of progress, no denying that, but I haven't seen you mention your drumming friends in a while.

I just wish he could maintain a stable job.

4+5 are the most important. Are you eligible for any benefits whilst he's not working again?

Technically, yes. I qualify for disability if he has no income or is also on disability. However, the process of getting back on disability is usually long, and he better have a job again within that time frame.

L and I have suggested to him multiple times that we get a divorce so I can bring in some money, too. And EVERYONE has told my dad to claim me a a caretaker so I can get some income that way as well. H is too scared of losing me if we get a divorce, and dad is too proud to admit he needs and has a lot of help. I have even told my dad I'd split the income from being his caretaker.

I was originally going to make my mom the mandala blanket. L came up with an idea to make another blanket for us. She thinks that we can swap the two blankets with each other to "recharge" them. So I decided to make the mandala blanket for us instead. She suggested that I start working on it now because I'm really struggling with boredom. So I told her I want to make it for us instead of my mom, and she was so excited. Now I have to figure these stitches out! The hard one looks to be DC2TOG. The other 3, I think I can do.

DC2TOG isn't too bad - you start the first DC as normal, but instead of finishing all the way, leave two loops on the hook. Then start the 2nd DC in the next stitch, and same way, don't finish it but leave 2 of those loops on the hook so you'll have a total of 4 loops on your hook. Then yarn over and draw through all 4 of those loops. Good thing about yarn is if you mess up, you just pull it out and try again. there's videos on youtube demonstrating it too.

eta: believe me on that ripping it out and starting again - I do it alllll the time! Sometimes I read the pattern wrong, especially when I'm tired, and don't realize it at first so I get a whole bunch done before i see oh this is not right and rip it out. I'm grateful that when my grandma taught me to crochet, she taught me to do that, too, so I don't get frustrated by it anymore. I sure did as a kid though! Anyway nobody has ever guessed looking at my finished products how often I rip it out and do it over cuz yarn is pretty resilient that way.

Do YOU want to get a divorce?

You can still apply even if H is not on board. Do you feel like you growing together as a couple? Are you happy in your marriage with him? If you imagined yourself 5 years in the future with him, what feelings does that bring up?

My own parents have been married for 30+ years. They argue, fight and make each other miserable, but will not separate. I just imagine how hard it is to live like that.

I would really suggest you do apply for disability even if it takes long.

I've been wondering how she was doing, too. I thought at one point she said she was stepping back from the forums for a bit, then checked in once. I hope she's doing OK!

I have to give an online product demo at work in 5 minutes. It's making me anxious. I don't really feel like doing this. It's not a large group of people, but it makes me feel too much in the spotlight and I don't know exactly what I'm going to say. I worry I will start rambling.

Hello everyone. I am sorry I haven't been here much. I have been checking my PM's but I haven't been going to the forums much. I am hyper focused on therapy right now and kind of needed a break from the forums. We are still titrating medication and trying to get the right dosage. I had a really rough weekend. My sister's wedding is in 3 days. That is stressful! Hopefully I will be back soon. Thanks for thinking of me! I miss all of you!

Hey, Kit.

So good to see you.
I hope you are able to take some time for yourself during all this stress.

HUGS,

Lost

Brain, head & neck, head & neck angiogram, head & neck venogram. All to figure out why I hear my heartbeat as a whooshing noise about 75% of the time. I'm a bit worried there's some sort of ticking vascular timebomb in there.

I hope you get the best possible results back from the MRI's, NP and I hope it's not too uncomfortable since you have to get 4 of them.
Thanks for this!
