Good luck, Artie. Hope it all goes well for you, and that's the end of your medical saga.

I read that as pulpy thing removal. Is pulpy on the same "do not say out loud ever" word list as moist? If not, can i nominate it?

ETA - I am starting to return to normal after the Sunday terlet trauma. Feeling sooo much better. So please pardon my uh shall we say zoomies?! Verbal and otherwise!

i'm feeling stressed today about... everything!!!! the not worrying, not feeling stressed, was sooo nice while it lasted (after I got out of the hospital in june i was so hugely grateful to be alive I had stopped worrying/stressing about everything) but it's back in full force. I'm still grateful to be alive but I guess because I'm not over-the-top-joyful anymore, it appears the mountaintop experience is over and i have apparently crash-landed back in the stressful real world. ****. Mostly it's about my upcoming medical procedure and flying tomorrow (i'm scared of getting covid which I have somehow avoided thus far for 3 years) and I didn't sleep much at all last night. ****ity **** ****.

Hey, Artie.

You're dealing with a lot at the moment, and handling it with utmost grace.
Do you still have a mask you could wear on the plane?
(Not sure whether it would do much in terms of the recirculated air....but it might offer some protection.)

Hope you are able to get some rest before your trip.

Take care,

Lost

Hugs, Artie. I'm sorry you're feeling so stressed right now. I also suggest wearing a mask (N95, KN-95, or that other one that is similar), both on the plane and in the airport. Hope you have a safe and healthy flight (or flights) and a good trip in general!
Thanks for this!

Nice! I tried Let's Make Art for a bit. I really struggled to use watercolor, so I'm particularly impressed that this is your first one! I'm more of an acrylics person, I've found, though I haven't painted in a long time.
Thanks for this!

Thanks Lost & LT. I do have one of those masks I'll wear. We have a long layover in denver on the way up there.... so I'll just do my best to avoid close quarters with people in the aiport. And I'm so looking forward to seeing my son!!

I know I won't be able to convince h to wear a mask. He got covid on our last flight when we were coming home from visiting my friend in oregon over a year ago (I'm sure that's where he got it, someone was coughing on the plane near us). If he ends up with it again, I'll quarantine him to the bedroom and sleep on the couch again. That kept me from getting it last time so hopefully it will again if it comes to that.

I'm just super paranoid about getting it right now especially - right before my procedure - I don't want to have to put that off any longer and it's only approved by insurance until dec 3 besides.

I hope this damn anxiety goes away. if it doesn't i'm going to start seriously looking into medication again. The way I am feeling today totally sucks.

Hugs, Artie. Could you ask your H to wear a mask because you're concerned about getting Covid before your procedure? Just wondering if it might make a difference to him if it's for a specific reason.

Went to a concert solo, and this guy seated across the aisle talked to me a few minutes because he saw me dancing. He said how we're clearly both old fans of the band, as we knew all their stuff. And probably older than most people there. I asked his age--37. I was like, "Uh...46 for me!" Then he said how we're able to be there dancing because we don't have families to worry about. I said, "Actually, I do have a family, I'm just here by myself tonight." Think maybe I burst his bubble a bit, as he looked a bit dejected after returning to his seat. But ah well.

Makes me think of the time I was at a show in my mid-20s (still single), These two guys were talking to me, seemed to be hitting on me, and they ended up asking my age. They seemed horrified that I was 24--then I realized they weren't wearing over-21 wristbands, so they were probably like 18! Age is so relative...

Maybe you could could also take vitamin C or supplements to help your immune system.

Make sure you are eating well, staying hydrated and resting as much as you can.

Focus on what you do want. Not what you don't. Picture yourself healthy and vibrant. Having fun with your son too.

Yeah, in retrospect, I think he was. I didn't think that at first because he came over to this me and the guy behind me, saying how we're all true fans, and we were all singing along and dancing together to a song. But then between sets, he came over to just talk to me.

I may have lost the ability to tell if someone is hitting on me, unless they're really obvious about it.

Does anyone just have this forum logged in at all times? If I hit the logout button I wouldn’t remember my password. The forum just lives logged in on my phone even when I’m gone for long periods of time. Just a random silly thought…

Maybe it would be better to be proactive rather than reactive—get the prescription now, and then it will be there when you need it.

I use a vaporizor - very low smell according to my partner who is very very sensitive to smoke and smell.

I feel your pain. I'm always complaining about my neighbours. For the past two days the ones on the right have been smoking peppers in their garden.

If it's not this it's the constant DIY noise, and I can't open the windows.
