I think having somebody who just listens is productive in many circumstances. I think it's bad if they just go with whatever you say, but if you feel challenged and pushed in the right direction, I think that is enough. If you feel fine with everything, then why are you talking to somebody? If you do not feel fine about everything, then there's something that needs to change. Humans do not like change, you will feel challenged if you have to embrace the change.
