It is good, but has a little cause for worry...
H has been at his job for a little over a year. They've kept him so busy that he tends to work from 9am to 9pm or longer, 7 days a week. We've had no time together. Recently, his work load is getting less and less (worrisome because he might actually run out of work). But it's good for me. In the past 3 weekends, I've gotten to get out of the house with him, visit family, watch movies and a new TV show. It's felt so good not having to be alone anymore. And I think we've determined our next dog will be a Pembroke corgi. Of course, we're not getting another for a few years as we can only have 4 dogs where we're at and we have 4. H has been watching videos and is really falling in love with them. I've wanted one for awhile now. Oh, and tomorrow I get to go swimming with my mom at her pool. Those are my good things. Do you have any good things, Lost? Even little things? __________________ "Odium became your opium..." ~Epica |

Hey Scarlet,
Thank you! It's great that your H has managed to hold this job for a year. I'm glad you have the chance to spend time with him too - that's got to be a bonus. Swimming sounds fun - hope you have a good time! Corgis are adorable - I'm so glad we live in a world where there are dogs. I'm looking forward to catching up with a dear friend for a couple of hours this weekend. __________________ 'Somewhere up above the great divide Where the sky is wide, and the clouds are few A man can see his way clear to the light 'You have all the grace you need for today, and today is all that matters.' - Steve Austin |

I just came home and a bit in front of my house looked up in the sky (I like the sky, especially at night) and saw a HUGE fireball. I've seen shooting stars before, but this was either a whole rock falling apart or some piece of equipment or something. It stayed in the air burning for so long I could see it go to the horizon, I'd guess 20 seconds or something in total. And you could see multiple pieces having their individual tails. You could even hear it. Lots of reports coming from all over the country and Germany too, it was amazing. Though I was scared at first, because, you know, the first country to get attacked by missiles will be neutral Switzerland...

That's incredible, CNS!
I can understand why you would be a little unnerved by it at first. Thank you for sharing. __________________ 'Somewhere up above the great divide Where the sky is wide, and the clouds are few A man can see his way clear to the light 'You have all the grace you need for today, and today is all that matters.' - Steve Austin |

That sounds yum, Artie.
I hope you'll enjoy every second of it. __________________ 'Somewhere up above the great divide Where the sky is wide, and the clouds are few A man can see his way clear to the light 'You have all the grace you need for today, and today is all that matters.' - Steve Austin |

Cheesecakes are the one of the best inventions ever. I don't know why... sucks we can't get Graham crackers easily here.

Digestive biscuits would work in a pinch, if they're more readily available?

Yes, they actually are. I have used them, not the same but close! I like the dark chocolate covered ones dipped into tea!

I don't dip (my reactions aren't that good...) but I know what you mean about the dark chocolate digestives.
Very tasty indeed! __________________ 'Somewhere up above the great divide Where the sky is wide, and the clouds are few A man can see his way clear to the light 'You have all the grace you need for today, and today is all that matters.' - Steve Austin |

CNS - Yeah we had a meteor over here at like 8 oclock at night a few years ago, with a flash and - now i cant remember if there was or was not thinder, either way i remember remarking on it - and people actually found pieces of it that landed in snowy fields like 20 miles away.

We are at the point in my tweaky boy's life where we take several slow plods around the block instead of real walks. He can't go far or fast but he still wants to go. It hasn't helped that the weather is back to hades this week. I am giving him meds for his arthritis but it isn't helping enough. Younger hairy dog has arthritis as well (younger is really really relative here- they are only a year apart) but the drugs are helping him more.

I like cheesecake but not crust - I usually sous vide mine without any crust at all.

I got some halo top "light ice cream" last week and found i prefer it to the real stuff, which i now find to be cloyingly sweet crisco. Plus it helps that by the time the Shipt guy gets it here, it has softened per manufacturer's recommendations for enjoyment.
Cheesecake. My butt is made of cheesecake. |

Thanks, Una.
Laughter is good! They sell Halo Top here in the UK too, but I've never tried it. Some delicious sounding flavours, though. Think of me the next time you partake? __________________ 'Somewhere up above the great divide Where the sky is wide, and the clouds are few A man can see his way clear to the light 'You have all the grace you need for today, and today is all that matters.' - Steve Austin |

Couch Workout Club day 30
Motivation was lacking today, so I did two sets of core workout exercises, no weights. __________________ 'Somewhere up above the great divide Where the sky is wide, and the clouds are few A man can see his way clear to the light 'You have all the grace you need for today, and today is all that matters.' - Steve Austin |

Thank you so much, Cake.
Everything else is going sideways, but I can still move my body. It seems to be thankful too. __________________ 'Somewhere up above the great divide Where the sky is wide, and the clouds are few A man can see his way clear to the light 'You have all the grace you need for today, and today is all that matters.' - Steve Austin |
