hello, I go to a low cost mental health doctors for my state. ive been going there for about 6 years and have had so many changes in doctors.. it drives me crazy. the worst part is the change in medications.. and dianoses.. I dont think they have any idea of what is wrong with me. I have no idea how to talk to my new T. the last 2 Ts ive had said i had bipolar rabid cycling adult add amoung other things.. one med they put me on was Adderall. now this new T says i dont see where you need that and took me off of it. and wants to start all the medication ive been on all over again. heck one T had me on so many things i had to go stay at hospital to get off of them. Ive tried to tell my new T what works best for me.. lithuim, adivan and adderall. right now he only has me on adivan 3 times aday but wants to swicth that to kolonapin.. i told him that i was taking that before and it didnt work. and he doesnt believe me. he says i cant make a desision about anything so he will do what is best. I guess im upset about the Adderall because it helped me with my depression.. the other doctors told me not to take it everyday and this t says i dont need it because i dont take it everyday.. no meds ive been on has giving me a normal life and i dont know how to talk to the T.. im mostly homebound because of my depression and anixitys.. so when i go to Ts i am over whelmed and do have a hard time talking to him. but i dont get to know the Ts long enought for them to understand..What should i do.. thank you

You know what is best for you. End of story. You know your body and what works and if he can't respect that - then too bad for him.

Most t's i have have even told me I know best - somewhere within us is the wisdom on getting better. T's are supposed to help us find that.

Hope you keep listeining to YOU and doing what you need.
