Wanted to share a funny moment from session.
I pulled out some poems and journals from my bag that I was going to share with T. T goes, "How come they are folded and crumpled like that?" So of course I freak out because I'm kind of manic at the time and I go, "DO YOU HAVE TO ANALYZE EVERYTHING? I FOLDED UP THE %#@&#! PAPER SO I DON'T HAVE TO BRING A BRIEFCASE TO THERAPY. OKAY, LET'S ANALYZE EVERY SINGLE THING-- OH LOOK! YOU HAVE BLUE SOCKS ON. WHAT LED TO YOU PUTTING ON BLUE SOCKS TODAY?" T got very cute and defensive and goes, "I like my socks! I really like them. They have gray flecks in them and pick up the color of my sweater. See?" I love this man.

My father didn't like psychiatrists and I didn't know why at the time but to illustrate how "silly" they were he use to tell the "joke" about the psychiatrists walking toward one another in a hospital hallway and the one psychiatrist says "Good morning!" to the other one and the other one smiles and nods, walking by but then says to his companion, "What did he mean by that?"
Did you fall over yourself laughing at him and his flecks?

Too cute, defending his socks  Choosing socks doesn't sound like something that men would think much about (men's issue?). It takes thought and planning to match flecks in his socks to his sweater color.....gRAY flecks. |

thats cute. i love when T's say stuff like that. my T smells her water because she had a fishtank when she was younger and she smelled alge in it. not that her waterbottles would have alge, but she smells water before she drinks it.

mine was on my case about not eating right or taking care of myself, which is valid, but i got all pissed off because i "had all this important stuff to talk about.. and what did i get? %#@&#! melons!" To which he replied "..i stand behind my melons"
