I made a post a while ago, my T is retiring.
Well, she sold her house, has a new house at her new location, and everything is falling into place for her to slowly, but surely close down her practice.
It's KILLING me/us. But she has sworn to have contact by email, and is still moving ahead with treatment for now.
She encouraged us to find a therapist in the area we will be moving to shortly for graduate school. I've contacted some foundations and institutes who have put me in touch with people who have/are treating MPD/DID.
So we are officially "searching the market" and have made contact with 2 therapists so far, one cannot see us, and one we're waiting to hear back from.
I am keeping my current T up to date on the whole process and she is very supportive. It is so weird, scary, and exciting all at the same time to be looking at where to go from here, and who we will crown our T next.
Just thought I'd update and look for encouragement. It's a very overwhelming ordeal to start over.

Gosh, I know all about starting over...it is no fun at all. It is really nice to know that your T is still in contact even if just by email. I'm sure that helps at least a little.
I hope you can find a T that works well for you.

Good Luck

We're looking... We're looking...
