My T has been asked to go to Africa by the Stephen Lewis foundation to set up trauma treatment programs for women who have been raped in various wars. It's a really big honour for her, and I'm kind of happy for her, but I'm really going to miss her when she's gone. She's going immediately after her vacation, so it could be a much as 5 weeks that she'll be away.

Soooo, what is the expectation for you??? Is there a back up, or are you just dangling? I'm sure this is a big deal for her but what about her responsibility to her clients?? Therapy work is serious and not a one way street.

Oooooooh - I've heard of therapists taking vacation (although this isn't a vacation - she'll still be gone!) for a month, but wow, it sounds hard.

What can you do for extra support during that time????
