Venting

I have a wounderful counsellor and pdoc. I feel sad right now. A couple years ago
I went off my meds on my own and started to do self destrucdive things. @ weeks ago I came clean only because my Counsellor came to my house and made sure I had no meds other then my doctor prescribed. I feel glad she came to my home yet feel guilty she had to drive 1/2hr to come, She is a pastoral counsellor. I told my pdoc when I saw here last wee she was happy my counsellor came to my home and took the meds not needed. My pdoc is so so good I can email her anytime and she replies back.

I am going on holidays next week for a week I am booked to see my Pdoc on the 17th of Oct. I told my counsellor I may not be home. She told me if im not im going to pay $100.00 more. To me that seems harsh I would cancle a couple days before my appointment. I relize my appointment with my Pdoc is is important however do not know if my counsellor is right saying I will pay money if I phone the office 48hr's before the appointment My counsellor is very caring I am in a deep depression big time I can understand her concern It make me sad my counsellor cares so much about me so much that she is comming to my Pdoc apps with me she really does care.

What would happen if I still was on holidays and did not make to my pdoc appointment? Would I be charged for canceling 48hrs before Sorry for venting.

Doctors and other health providers such as therapists each have a policy on how late before your appointment you can cancel and not be charged. They usually give you their office policy the first time you see them. Just call up your pdoc's office and ask the staff how much time you need to give for a cancelation and not be charged. With my therapist, for example, it is 24 hours. I'm not sure of the role of your counselor in all of this, but I think for info on the pdoc, you should ask from the pdoc's office and not go by what your counselor says.
