So talking in T yesterday about a situation I was faced with this week and now it connects to things I was faced with as a child, and having to witness my adoptive mother opting to put her head in the sand ...T said you are torn between your natural flight or fight reaction and the learnt helplessness your mother portrayed...your reaction is to fight unyet your held back by memorys of your mothers indisions...man did that hit the spot...something else we were talking about that happened that had a great effect on me.. and T said "yes and its beyond understanding and reason but...." and it was this "but" that stuck with me...perhaps I was or am ready to hear this now...not have to be stuck in what happened and stuck trying to work out the why's and why nots and T's handling of it like that helps me see also that yes it was beyond reason but..." yeah I like that, it gives one a sense of freedom, empowerment, no longer held hostage by ones past...one doesn't have to forget or dismiss the past but one can get to a point where it no longer haunts you....yeah its all good!

Mouse,
In the last 2 sessions I've came home to reflect a lot on if I am a one of Seligman’s dogs.
