Chaotic, I am glad your got through your medical procedure and what a treasure having a friend like you had!!! I understand the feeling about T not feeling as if she were with you at this time, I think this sort of feeling is what underpins our therapy and if we can work through these times then we are well on the way to "recovery", I'm sure no one, not even your T would have wanted you to have to cope alone!!..

Pachy I would love to accept credit for that but...honestly Word fixed it for me. After I wrote the post in the message box it didn't look right so I copied it into Word to make sure it was spelled correctly. It was Word's auto correct feature that did the character swap ç. So I just copied it back to the message box.

"Look for the gift within our fear and benefit from it." (Julian Sleigh)

I can tell you, one of the things I have found most amazing in the past year and a half is that I have a few REALLY good friends. I don't know how or why I am so blessed. When I first went to therapy I was very depressed and totally disconnected from the world. Incredibly as I started to come out of it and and look for people to connect with, I found I had two people already there in my life just waiting for me to accept their friendship. Later I found that there was a third who had tried to be there for me, basically all my life, but I always pushed her a way. I guess this is the classic example of "seek and ye shall find."

My T was not very comforting this week, my H... I don't even want to dwell on that.... But my FRIENDS and the people who really care about me were truly wonderful. My friend who showed up at the hospital, gave me exactly what I needed at the exact time I needed it. How divine is that??? And the best part is, it was GIVEN to me. I didn't have to send an email with "A REPLY WOULD BE HELPFUL" in the subject line. Nor did I have to say, "I know you have stuff you want to do today, but they won't let me drive myself home afterward. So, do you think you could come and pick me up when I'm done?"

I made sure I let her know how grateful I was that came.
