Its been 1 freaking day since therapy and I already feel alone and as if she's gone on vacation and forgotten about our session . She told me today she has 11 sessions in a row, now I know for sure she has forgotten about me I mean how could she not with all those other clients? Bah, I'm sorry T, I guess I"m selfish,....just want you to myself sometimes

help or my boat is gonna sink

I have dealt with these kind of feelings when my T has been on vacation, when she came back we explored this issue and she reassured me that she doesn't forget me while she is out of the office. She gave me examples of how she sometimes thinks of me during certain times.
If you are special enough to her that she gave you a christmas card with a special message inside, I am sure that she doesn't forget you, you are a very special person. Feel free to pm me anytime.

Moonkin I know it feels that way, but I'm sure you know she cares about you. I was at T today and he was saying something to me. He pointed out that what he was saying "came from a place of caring". For some reason, they care about us . Please stay strong and let us know how you're holding up. Maybe you can put up one of those calenders in your signature that says how many days are left for T to come back. I enjoyed seeing those when Ts went on summer vacations. It helped!

Moonkin, Though these feelings are painful, its positive that you can experience them, shows your not as fragile as you may believe yourself to be perhaps???

I know that feeling of losing the connection with T....it is scary and painful.

T always reminds me that what happens in the room with him is REAL, he is real, the relationship is real, and the fact that we are apart doesn't change the reality of all of that.

Maybe you can hang on to your Christmas card from her, and know that she will be back. It's already one day closer to the next time you will see her
