Spinning heads look around, can’t find you, I fall down,
I keep on going, around and around, you’ll be back, and the battle will be over, Tick by tick the date grows near, no more fear, you won’t forget these words, So scared and afraid of the days that are near, like a spear it hits me and I disappear, What’s it going to take to win the waging war, don’t wonna loose four, even though the first three were crap to me, not even a fee a gift of a smile just a open the door, your times up, Until I met you, you keep me on your shoulders like you do right now, but for now I’ll just say we’re the bigger force that blows my life out of proportion, Crazy of fighting not sure how to describe it, guess I’m just scared of all the sightings as you look at me see me crawl away burrow and just stay, This room gets old but I’m getting out, just like you said, and this time I’m going without a pout, You make the difference I need; I don’t need a drug or some silly speed, Just two chairs one with you in it and me in the other, spilling my guts to your face not afraid to cry in your face, This war ain’t over but it is soon to be, the holidays won’t be fought I’m going to make you proud, Spinning heads look around, can’t find you, I fall down, I keep on going, around and around, you’ll be back, and the battle will be over, Tick by tick the date grows near, no more fear, you won’t forget these words, Unable to make sure you know what I’m talking about, just know it’s good and that its all positive toward you, the war in my head is about me fighting a beast larger then life, I guess I’ll have to suffice rid my proud and say no more, not now, I can remember so much from the last time we met on Wednesday I won’t forget it ever, but it won’t be the last memory, you’ve got years to get me where I need to be, I know that we can both see, Just as long as we both trust each other, that’s more then any order from a general or a sergeant , just two people making a difference , well you’re making a difference in my life, a good one, While the rest of the soldiers may die, I won’t give up, I’ll fight longer, stay stronger, win a war people battle every day, and this last line I can say, You’re the best leader this army needs, or in reality the best therapist us clients could have, ever, no one can replace you, now this battle of mine wages on, but I’m no longer alone, I see you next to me, Spinning heads look around, can’t find you, I fall down, I keep on going, around and around, you’ll be back, and the battle will be over, Tick by tick the date grows near, no more fear, you won’t forget these words, By Dustin Dixon |
