Well, I saw pdoc tonight. I just love this guy! He said that the intrusive thoughts are part of the depression and has me continuing to increase the zoloft. I told him the intrusive thoughts had an OCD quality and he said that zoloft is used for depression, anxiety and ocd. He said that the depression AND the zoloft can be causing the fogginess I am experiencing. Also, he did not think that I am having an after effect from the klonopin because I take it so infrequently. That one day I took 3 tabs was the only time I did that. I feel good about the visit.

When I see him I usually tell him a little about the work T and I are doing and tonight I asked him why we can't just sort of put some of these things aside after we deal with them and why they continue to haunt us and cause illness like depression. He said that current research is showing that childhood trauma actually causes the brain to develop differently forming different neural pathways. It was an interesting chat.

I find my visits to pdoc to be reassuring and comforting in a much different way than T. I am not nearly as attached to pdoc but I am fond of him and feel comfortable and safe in his office. AND his office has a beautiful view of the river.

Peaceout

Awwww, that sounds like a great appt Miss C. I'm glad you were able to figure some things out with him.

T and I just had the same "neural pathway" talk the other day. I was in a very young place at the time, so it sounded like a lot of "blah blah blah" to me, but I do remember him mentioning it!

It sounds like your Pdoc and your T are a nice complement to one another. Sounds like a great view!
