Hi Paddy,

It sounds like you've made some great advancements, and it gives me alot of hope because, like you, I've operated as a child in relationships with "parental" type people also. How did you manage to "grow up" to the point where you no longer suffer with child-like needs for nurturing from parental type figures? That's where I seem to be stuck. On the one hand, I have a very adult-like side of myself. But on the other hand, there's a child-like side of me too. Certain types of older women seem to trigger that need inside me to where it feels like I need someone to function as a type of mother figure in my life. It doesn't happen very often, but when it does, the need feels very strong. If you could tell me how you managed to get past this, I'd really appreciate it. It might help me also.
Thanks for this!

Paddy, yes I can relate to what you wrote. I use to also tell anybody everything, but now when I do share myself its because I am wanting someones "take" on it or even some help, I am more honest with myself now the reasons why I share things, rather than just using stuff to gain sympathy or attention. I'm glad you have reached this place.
