Wasn't expecting this. Feeling kind of ambushed by my own emotions.

I am moving out of state, and today was my last session with T. I have only been seeing her since July of last year. She's been very helpful, but I've never felt particularly attached to her -- I don't freak out when I can't see her, etc. (I have had a T I've been that dependent on, but not in a good while.)

So I wasn't really expecting to be all tearful and stuff after saying goodbye. It feels kind of sucky.

Blah.

We don't know what causes grief sometimes, but maybe you'll just miss the routine and she's been useful - even if you aren't "attached" to her?

Besides the fact that moving all in itself would cause anyone some pain and tears...

Good luck with your move.
