On August 20th, my husband and I our having our second anniversary (not wedding, but from when we started dating). The problem is that I am absolutely strapped for cash, I have completely no money. I couldn't even buy him a notebook if I wanted to. So, I want to make him something. However, he isn't into me writing him 'love letters', or anything of the sort. Written him letters (I don't even know how many) and cards and things like that and most of the time, the best response I get is, 'It's nice, I like it'. Not exactly all that great. It's just not his thing. So I now need to think of something. I could draw him something, which I know he would appreciate more, however, when I draw, I'm really tedious and pretty much a perfectionist, so if I make a mistake, then I have to start over, which would get me frustrated and deterred. Then I wouldn't have anything at all. As far as cooking goes, I just plainly can't cook. We live off of easy to make meals. Also, I don't really like to cook all that much anyways. It would be more of a task for me than something exciting and what not.

So... I'd love ideas. Any and all.

How about a drawing and a night out watching the sunset. Then watching the stars .
You could set a blanket up outside or chairs and make it a surprise...
ahhh The drawing could maybe be the stars and sunset just a thought

Awww. I really love that idea!
The only problem being is that he's not really the romantic type of person (which is why he doesn't really respond to letter and things that I write him).
I really do think I might go with the whole drawing thing, but I get too nervous about trying to make it look great and worry too much about messing up. ><
He's a gamer, so maybe I'll create something related. For Christmas last year, I wanted to make him a ship replica from a Star Trek series out of clay, but I realized just how much time it would take to make one. I'd have to be working on it all year, and trying to hide it from him would be near impossible.
Oh, and the trees where we live (we live in an apartment complex type of deal surrounded by trees) would make it near impossible to see a sunset.

You could always rent a movie, and order a pizza. Everything could be under $20.00. Or you could just buy a pizza from the store, and buy a $5.00 movie from Walmart.
