I really do love my husband although he seems to have an one track mind until today when he showed signs of ADD. We were going down the interstate with our niece sitting between us in the truck. My husband is a horse fanatic in the highest and is always talking about them. I just kind of tune him out and response in the right spots. (Been married over 23 years). Anyway he was talking about some horse he had seen on the internet. Instead of saying where he seen it on the internet, he said "I seen on Coon" and then went right back on track. He had seen a raccoon on the side of the road. When he said that, my niece and I busted out laughing and couldn't stop. He looked at us like we had lost our last marbles. He didn't see where it was funny. He was just pointing the raccoon out to us. Should we have contained our laughter? He didn't think it was funny at all.

I think he more concerned now about my mother talking to Larry "the Cable Guy" last night. For those who aren't familiar with him, he is a comedian who appears with Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, and Ron White on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. Yes, we are rednecks. We didn't think to much about it last night when she told us she met him at work and spoke with him. My husband heard him on the radio today talking about his show tonight. He called the name of the place where my mom worked and the town it is in, and he spoke with the cook there and about her being a southern grandmother. My husband is wondering what all she said. You would have to know his jokes to understand. My mother relates to all his grandma jokes and probably told him so. Didn't get his autograph though. She doesn't think that way. LOL

Fay I always laugh at my bf when he thinks things aren't so funny. Sometimes he gets mad at me, and then I laugh more.

Thanks for the reply. I find it easier to laugh at him than to get mad. I am trying to get better and getting tense doesn't help. He swears like a sailor, so I laugh at the way he swears instead of getting mad. I have found it helps him think about what he is saying. Poor man was subjected to double teaming again today by my niece and me. All he says is "female hormones".

Have you thought about getting a bar of soap and washing his mouth out? That might help.

It is a thought. I rather get him around his family or my friends and watch him squirm. He really watches his language around the other people. I get my laughs where I can.
