Went to play badminton its a 14+ and up group matches. I met this guy really nice and we played a match together. I asked him what his age was hes 21, I thought he was 16 because he looks young and is quite short. I don't fancy him by the way. Theres only one type of guy who I can trust at school for me my ex! Just it was a surprise that hes not a teenager like me only an adult. Now I will come and play again badminton the next week after and my mum won't be there at all this time, which gives me some space. Just sometimes it feels akward with him. He thought I was 15 or 16 but no I'm 14. See I can be mature for my age. Well it was fun now I'm on the computer relaxing and talking to you guys and gals!

Sorry what I meant to ask is "Is it right to form a friendship like a bond with a 21 year old boy and a 14 girl?" Anyone please answer the question!

Miss_A, I don't know if there's a right or wrong about this, but I would expect a 21 year old man to have adults for his friends.

I would like to respond as a mother. I personally would not want my 14 yr old daughter hanging out with a 21 yr old man. Not that I wouldn't trust my daughter but a grown man needs to be hanging out with adults not children. There are alot of things that could happen. Just my opinion

I don't think that YOU are wrong for wanting to hang out with him, but there is something creepy and (sorry to be blunt) pathetic about a 21 year old that would hang out with a 14 year old of the opposite gender. Not to mention illegal if it ever went beyond friends.

I'm 20... 21 in November... and from my point of view, I would not look for a bf/gf who is so much younger. I would look amongst my own age group or slightly older. I know you probably don't want to hear this lol... but with you being 14 I see you just as being a child (more or less)... I can see why you would be impressed with a 21-yr old guy but I think the age difference is too great... if he showed any interest in you, that would be creepy...
As friends, there is nothing wrong.... just watch yourself around him, ok?

Thanks for your honest opinions I will try not to do any thing stupid with him. Though he seems to be nice but not interested in the same way!
