My husband. I've had depression for 5 years. He's expecting me to get better now. It's not happening. Plus he's now showing all the signs of depression as he's been unemployed for 3 years. Looking after me and I expect really getting frustrated.
I have a serious self esteem problem and with his constant negative comments, just don't see how it's going to get better. It's so low now that even suicide is looking good. I have nothing to fall back on, not even my mother as she's out of country. I don't know. I just want it to end. He plays a game where he's got 3 women friends. He tells them everything about what's happening with us. One of the gals is married but keeps telling him that she loves him. I mentioned something to him and he said it was all above board. Yeah, right. I'm just sitting here crying, feeling like screaming my head off but that's never going to happen either. Sorry to load this on you guys but if I don't, it's just going to fester. |

well, i'm sorry you're feeling bad. i don't think your husband should continue talking to the women who says she loves him or telling any of them your personal stuff. please don't do anything rash! i hope things get better for you

you both need to get professional help in your depression and marital counciling
I think if you both realize how bad it is or if either of you could lose the other it might light that fire to get better. It did for me for my wife. |

Taff,
Can you sit down with your husband and tell him how his speaking with these other women is causing you more depressive feelings, reverse the roles and tell him how he would feel. I agree with pp that you both could use some marriage counciling and therapy.
