my little man who's two just looked up at me and said, "mom, kiss me up!" then he lifted he face up like a little bird. hehe. i gladly obliged.

i'll often shower he face all over, especially if he's upset or hurt or something. he's decided that's a kiss up.

he's so special. most of you know i'm not his mom. i'm his aunt. my kids are grown. however, he's as much mine as if i'd given birth to him myself! he decided that i was his mom after watching daughters and my role in his life. the other nite me, little man and hubby were at a restaurant eating (he calls hubby papaw). anyhow, a friend walked up with his son. little man sat there and observed the boy and his dad and the situation. he looked around and said, "where's my dad? there's my dad! papaw's my dad!" BIG LUMP. papaw kissed him up then...lol. he's got everything he needs in this world.

yep, life is good...ESPECIALLY with my littlest man. i just measured and he's 35 3/4 inches tall! where has the time gone. i remember when he came to me scared and confused, but doing good just three weeks before his second birthday. the anniversary of his arrival "home" is in two months. again, where has the time gone???

we're all blessed. that perfect little beauty of a boy is a walking miracle. he really is...all the odds were against him as well as a surgical procedure where they didn't do a pregnancy test and another that would have, well, he wouldn't have been here with us. this little man is here for so many reasons we've yet to even find out about. it's a miracle he's here. it's a miracle he's perfect and smart. HE'S A MIRACLE and has already touched and blessed so many lives.

found the photo gallery. What a precious little boy. I am new here and if you do not mind me asking How did little man come to be your little man.

i don't mind at all. he was my 41 b'day present i got him one week prior to my 41st b'day.

his father is my brother. my brother has bipolar disorder and a pretty significant personality disorder. he uses street stuffs to self medicate and to flat out get high. his mother is my brother's g/f. they did very well. after his birth for almost 2 yrs. as the baby got older and getting into things, etc. my mother and i were watching much more closely for partying, anger issues, etc. it was always ok, not fine, but ok. his mother never seemed to bond with him (she didn't raise her daughter as well). my brother took total care of him, feeding, baths, changing, rocking to sleep, etc. they began to spiral out of control with using more and their relationship was very rocky.

they ended up splitting up. brother went into hosp. due to his instability and suicidal ideation. his mother went to bad drugs. when the brother went into the hosp, of course i was in constant communication with the baby's mother. she literally dropped him off and said, "i am not stable enough for a baby, not on my own. i can't do it. take him, please."

that was that. his parents evetually got back together and are both using again (pot, street tranqs. that's it as far as i know). they're both still unstable and know they can't raise a child. he's still with me and will always be with me.

he bonded, especially with his daddy. he knows he has a momma and daddy (his special words for them). however, me and hubby are mom and dad in his life.

they see him about every ten days. i've asked for no overnites. they don't argue. it's like their aunt and uncle and visit from time to time. their visits are getting shorter and farther apart. the little man doesn't seem to mind. in fact, he never asks about them anymore and usually doesn't want to go. that bothers me badly. they know it too. i think that's why they're cutting back and maybe they're a little relieved? i dunno.

anyhow, he's perfect and he'll have all the love and things he needs in life to be just fine

ps...how anyone could not do what they need to do to try everything possible for a beautiful child, i'll never know.

however, they gave the next to ultimate gift...making sure he's safe and loved.

i'm proud of them for that.

it was WAY rough at first. i had to end up quitting job i loved, etc. it was quite the adjustment. however, we've all adjusted like he was here forever.

Yes, I looked at your gallery pictures, and he's a beautiful little boy!!! Kimmy, I also see that you have a Yorkie...I do too. My Puppers is 3 pounds and rules the house.

LOL seeker. i got him when he was two. he was already named that by prior owner who claimed he was no bigger than a popcorn fart when he was tiny and the runt. LOL.

even his hawaiian print diapers don't make him look any bigger. lol. yes, he wears diapers...
