No doubt, change is inevitable. Those who are more adaptable will likely have happier lives. Piaget was a developmental psychologist who suggested children will learn more when they are ready. In my view, adults are somewhat the same. For adults, however, there is more of a sense of urgency to incorporate adaptive changes into our lives if we are to avoid emotional problems.
