This article on Munchausen by Internet is worth reading, thought provoking. Relationships and friendships online can be tricky at times, helpful to know some things to watch for.

Sarah,

That is an excellent article. It is interesting because I was on one site where it seemed like a member was acting exactly like that......She was going on about a problem she was having......I had been there myself & knew that she couldn't continue on like that without becoming so physically ill she would be dead....but she continued on & on & on without any help. It was only obvious to those of us who had been there ourselves....with everyone else feeling sorry for her.......makes you wonder after reading this article.

Thank you,
Debbie

A really fascinating article. The real shame is that a person faking a mental illness probably really does have problems that support could help. (Just not the kind of problems they claim to have.)
