i seem to have a problem keeping friends. i'm good at making friends, but ultimately something happens and it all falls apart - usually in disaster.
is there a name for this and/or is there some type of personality disorder that is more prone to this sort of thing? |

borderline personality disorder?
you need to be chill and patient with friends. and don't make friends out of desperation, bc then it's like "you never even really liked them" |

lots of people make new friends, sustaining new friendships is difficult for anyone. lower your expectations of these freindships. i suppose it can depend on where you make these new freindships. if we have one true and loyal freind then we have really found a treasure.

thank you all for your comments. this is actually a good example of the way that i am, "in action" if you will. i didn't appreciate being told to "chill" in one of the replies, so i thanked the other two people and moved on. this is a classic example of the way that i act/react to things. is this part of the bpd? (which yes, i'm now leaning towards having.)
(and palemoss, i don't mean to not thank you - i actually do appreciate you helping me use this scenario as an example.) |
