I'm not sure if this is the right place for what I'm posting, but I couldn't find another place I thought as suitable. Basically I have a really hard time trusting people, and whenever I do it seems like I trust the wrong people/person. I have a girlfriend that barely talks to me, and when I confront her about it she gets mad at me and says I overreact. I mean am I wrong to be annoyed that she hardly ever texts me back?
Then there's the friends that say they'll always be there for me and never are when I need them the most. I texted one yesterday and she never replied. I mean, is it something that I'm doing wrong? Because I only have one friend that has lasted for more than a year. I'm starting to think maybe I just shouldn't trust anybody at all. ![]()

Sometimes people (many people) are rude. They don't show up when they say they will, they say one thing and do another, they don't communicate. Frustrating to deal with.
Fortunately some of us work on communicating, we try to be reliable, we are kind and good. You'll come across this eventually. I guess the answer is to continue to be kind and good yourself. Eventually you will meet new people. You want more contact and communication with your girlfriend. How does she respond when you just tell her this? No need to confront her or present your wishes emotionally, just ask, tell her this contact is important to you. When it comes to trust, I think people need to earn our trust. There are people out there who are worthy of trust.
