...feeling sad and weak tonight. supposed to be getting over it...remember? feel like caving and doing the call thing. it's so quiet & lonely here. all I can hear are crickets and the kitchen clock ticking.

I don't know the story, but it sounds as though you're going through loneliness after a current break-up. Right?

Perhaps you should think about the reasons why the relationship ended. Was it hurtful? Physically or emotionally damaging? Were you spending a lot of time alone when you were together? How have you made it through the days without him or her? Are days easier, because of distractions?

Personally, I need distractions to keep my mind from beating another part of me up. That is more challenging in late evenings. The computer, e-Bay can take up hours real quick, but I don't fall asleep easily after. My best tip is to read comics, word search puzzles, listening to music without words, that sort of thing.

Be strong ~ don't make desperate decisions to avoid being alone. Gentle hugs sent your way

Sorry to hear this. Hopefully by now you are in a better place. BTW... the sound of crickets soothes me but all my clocks have to be of the quiet variety. The ticking is like a clash of cymbals at night.

Thank you sweet Shez,

staying away from the window too. Ended up distracting myself with t.v. - ick. Then tossed for hours till I got to come to work! Yeah - work is my distraction. I stay here long after I have to fill the empty hours.

I did not call or text. Made it through. Thanks to all of you.

The crickets are nice but my tormented soul find them romantic LOL and are part of the back ground to many a steamy fantasy soooooo not the best sound for me now. The kitchen clock is annoying and reminds me of an old person's living room. I should get rid of it.
