How do I bring something up that I haven't spoken about here before? Should I try and explain everything as I go...or just state what went on? The last time I tried explaining everything (my sister and her baby saga) it wore me out and I haven't been able to go back and post any more of that particular story...for various reasons.
There is so much that has happened, but I don't know how to: bring it up, talk about it, when to bring it up, how much to share... |

BP,
I often have the same problem. I dont know if I am sharing too much or too little or if I even make sense sometimes. I have learned that speaking from the heart, and speaking at a level that is comfortable for you is best. Is this a problem that you are having with a member here? Or a person issue in 3d? If it is a problem with a member here, I would PM that person directly or a MOD. But if there is a 3d issue, post here, if your comfortable, and when you are ready. Dont be afraid. We dont bite. Not hard anyway. LOL Huggles, Jen |

Its certain memories that I speak of, at present...it has Nothing to do with anyone here. I've never had anything but love and respect for the people of PC. This is just past stuff that has come back to my consciousness recently.

BP,
I beleive that talking about it is prolly best. But I say that with caution because I wouldnt want you to post something that your not feeling totally comfortable with. You need to feel safe and secure in whatever you post. Dont be afraid to post because of a reaction you have recieved in the past. Anyone who had judged you in anyway is wrong for doing so. I am here for you BP. Huggles, Jen |

Only post what you feel comfortable about and what you would feel safe about posting. I know I always go into too much detail. So maybe skimming the top of it and only stating what happened in general would help.

Hi BP,
My thought is that what you need to share with us is a feeling. Of course there is a story, maybe very complicated, and some events that have obviously hurt you. If you are able to tell us how you feel about what has happened, then we'll do what we can to help. I find that I identify quite strongly with posts that share some hard pain, and I am not at all afraid to do that. Of course, I can't speak for anyone else, I just feel that I want to help out, whatever it is that has hurt you. As the others have said, though - only share what you feel able and ready to share. That's my contribution, anyway. Good thoughts, M |

Thank you everyone for your thoughts on this...
There are somethings that I remember, but not fully--just parts of. Would that be ok to post as well? It is things that happened when I was quite young, in my family. |

BP,
I think that would be fine to post, again, only if you feel comfortable and safe to do so. Thinking of you |

I feel like an attention-seeker, asking what I can/should post...as well as the other amounts of posts I make. I may wait awhile

I guess I'll have to wait until at least tomorrow to go into anything...and I actually have plans tomorrow--so it may be even longer =O Maybe I'll feel better about posting by then, anyway {{{{{{Jen}}}}}} =) |

one way to ease gradually into the details would be to just post a few bullet points to start
- I was 8 years old - some friends and I argued - I felt bad ...something like that (I can fix the typos if you want ;-) ) __________________ thatsallicantypewithonehand |
