i just need to know if its me or everyone eles? i dont talk to my sisters & brothers mucth ,& evertime i run into one of them they always say to me oh you dont look bad like everyone is saying you do.i know you cant see me but my question is/is it wrong of me to think that is rude to say to somebody that is battiling with depression ive been depressed sence oct of last year,i dont think i could ever say that to someone its just rude & it makes me feel worse ? so would you say that to someone? i put on make up & brush my hair i think i look ok i dont think i look bad im well groomed i dont get it ? let me know what you think please its just about the question would you or could you say that to someone,im not close to any of them i could see if we were like best friends but were not ! thank you !

That seems a little rude to me -- but I guess sisters & brothers think they don't have to stand on ceremony when talking to each other. No, I would NOT say that to someone, not even my sister who I'm really close to.

But give them the benefit of the doubt -- ignorance MUST be bliss cause the sure don't know what they're saying! Hugs, Lee

I'd be more concerned with who thinks I do look bad that they're deciding you doesn't look as bad as that person's reports? It could just be a parent(?) or someone kind of chivying them to, "pay attention to your sibling!" or something and they don't know what else to say? I'd come up with a stupid/snappy comeback like, "You don't look too bad either! Good to see you; hope I see you again sometime in this life!"
