Hi,
I'm new here. Hope you don't mind me posting. I was at a party at the weekend and someone I've grown to like was there. This person began talking in riddles, talking about my 'indifference' and something about being 'watched at work? And understood why I was the way I was?' I had a really blank expression on my face and said I didn't understand, I got a look to say I should understand but I really didn't. Then this person talked about how much they liked my friend...who is better looking and the life and soul compared to me but unavailable and in a secure relationship. Anyway, later on in the party I got myself a bit upset and went to one of the bedrooms. This person followed me and said "Right enough f***ing about" and got into bed semi clothed, asked if I would join and I did. I stayed fully clothed but stuff happened. But now this person says they don't remember much about the party and I'm scared to talk about it. I really like this person and wonder if they like my friend because they think I'm indifferent with them (I'm not indifferent, just shy and scared of rejection) and it's safer to like someone you know you can't have. I was thinking of asking this person if we could go for a drink/meal and get to know each other better but I'm scared of rejection. (This person doesn't know much about me cos I don't reveal much til I know I can trust someone) I don't know what to do, I feel kind of used and I don't want to be a consolation prize. But I really like this person and it hurts. Sorry for the long post. |

It sounds to me like this person was really WASTED at the party -- are you sure you want to get involved with someone like this? You might be in for a LOT of hurt!! I think I'd steer clear of this, and look for someone who doesn't abuse whatever it was that he was abusing! He was obviously on something!
Best of luck -- I wish you the very best. God bless. Hugs, Lee ![]() |
