I feel kind of stupid saying this, but I am jealous of my boyfriend's dog. He kisses that dog more than me and can't seem to leave its side without hugging it. The other night he left me to sleep alone so he could sleep with the dog otherwise it would bark all night. I love animals and have owned some dogs myself growing up, but his family spoils the dog terribly. If you don't pay attention to it it could bark for hours. I know he loves the dog and it is getting old. I get upset when my pets get old too and I love them a lot so I understand how much he loves his dog, but sometimes I feel like saying to him, "I'm a human being, he's a dog, how about I get to sit next to you on the couch instead of him?" I feel bad feeling like this, but that dog is seriously getting on my nerves. Growing up the dogs were not allowed on the couch or in bed. At his house the dog is on everything and they put blankets on him. Yesterday we had to take a nap on the floor because the dog wanted the couch and then he expected me to use the dog's blanket. I tried it, but after an hour I was too uncomfortable. His parents are away at the moment and the dog is usually with them. He even says his dog can get annoying, but I cannot wait for his parents to come back! This is supposed to be our time alone together until the semester starts again, but I feel like the third wheel. His dog is really demanding, and he doesn't get much sleep because of it so I feel bad being angry over this dog. I'm not sure what the point of this post is, but I'm just so annoyed I need to write it down.

I have to admit that I'd feel a bit annoyed too! NO WAY would I use the DOG'S blanket! YUCK! Who wants to smell like a DOG? LOL And I would NOT be delegated to the floor because the DOG wanted the couch! The dog belongs on the FLOOR! Good grief!!!

Sorry but this guy has his priorities mixed up. Find someone else who values YOU more than a darned dog. I love animals too -- I have a dog and cats and I love them alot. But I have specific "beds" for the animals -- they don't sleep on the furniture!

Best of luck & God bless. Hugs, Lee
Thanks for this!
