What should I do about this drama queen?
Starting from the beginning- I've been friends with this girl,Michelle,for a while and we've had our fights as all friends do but we've always fixed them. But they were always stupid fights,so they could be fixed easily. In short all you need to know about her is that she likes to get into little fights every now and again. Which I really hate but I dealt with it because she's in my group of friends that all hang out together. The problem started like this- It was Halloween and her and a few friends went down town with me,along with one of my guy friends Zack. Along the way we met up with a few more friends,who had brought along with them this guy that Michelle doesn't like,his name is Nate. She dislikes him so much to the point when he asked her out she pretended she was already in a relationship with one of her girl friends. Any way I had lots of fun that night and every thing went well. But in the morning I got a call from Michelle telling me that she had told Nate that I was going out with Zack. It wasn't true but she thought it was a great way to get Nate to stop bothering me. Which maybe true the guy can be a bit clingy but I can just tell him to knock it off and he does,no big deal. I told her I didn't like that she had done that without asking me because I knew that it might make Zack feel a bit hurt or some thing,I don't know I was just worried about his feelings. And then some how she turned the whole thing around on me- She made me out to be the bad guy,just for telling her I didn't like what she had done. I don't know how she did it but now everyone in the group thinks I'm in the wrong. Michelle even went over to Zack's house crying,yes really shedding tears,about how mean I was to her and he agreed with her. I thought this guy was my bro! SO,now I lack a group of friends and I have Michelle still causing trouble for me and Zack doesn't want to be my friend any more. Also she now has a few of her friends sending me threatening notes about,if I don't stop being mean to Michelle their going to beat me up. What the heck should I do? All I did was tell her in a nice way that I didn't like that she did some thing with out asking me. What makes the whole thing even more silly is that everyone that decided they'd become involved are 18-20 years old,you would think that they learn to talk out their problems by now. I'm at a loss here,I want to go to collage but I don't know how to deal with these people who I thought were my friends,seeing as how their going to the same collage as me. Thank you for your time and your advice!

Turn her into the police and her threatening posse. People like this thrive on your reaction, if you get the authority's involved and show the threats they will be prosecuted. Don't involve yourself in anyway that has to do with her, that includes mutual friends. There's no reason you should live in fear because of her behavior.
