Hi everyone .I'm a Chinese girl, in other words, English is my second language. So it's a kind of difficulty for me to express myself clearly. Please be understanding. The first reason why I'm here is that I realized I had some problem.I have ADHD.Half a year ago I took my college entrance examination ,which is almost the biggst challenge for Chinese students.I failed to entre my dreaming university .It's really a strike for me.I have been so hardworking all these years to realize my dream. So I can't help asking myself what's the matter with me. Finally I find my problems. It's mental trouble, which is seldom concerned by parents and teachers even by students ourselves in China.I think I should be the one being responsible for myself and I find it here.I hope to be one of you sharing my feelings.I think I can be better and better.Thank you.

Hello, Lily! And welcome!

I hope you can find some answers and solutions here on PC. Among the thousands of members it's probable that you'll meet people with the exact same problem as you have. By sharing information, you'll probably learn things that you can use in helping yourself.

I was very sorry to hear that you didn't get into your university of choice. That happens all the time here too. We all have to apply to many universities just to hope we get into one of them. And everybody can't get into Harvard or Yale. Some parents here tell their children not to try to get into a top college (first four years), but to go to just a good college, work very hard, and then go to a great graduate school. Here that's very possible. Is it also possible in China?

What subject do you want to study? Do you plan on going to graduate school afterwards? Chinese people work SO hard! Much harder than Americans. All the Chinese people here in America get the highest grades and go to the best schools. Everyone knows this. Chinese people are very smart. We all respect Chinese people because of this. I hope you do get into a very good college. Maybe not the best but still a very good one. Take care!
